Christina Applegate has double mastectomy in her breast cancer fight
Wednesday, August 20th, 2008 on SpoilerBuzz.comChristina Applegate has confirmed she is now cancer free after she underwent a double mastectomy following her diagnosis of breast cancer.
The 36-year-old, who says she is now cancer free, told ‘Good Morning America’ that she had a genetic risk of developing breast cancer.
Speaking about her feelings after surgery, she said: “Sometimes, you know, I cry. And sometimes I scream. And I get really angry. And I get really upset, you know, into wallowing in self-pity sometimes. And I think it’s all part of the healing.”
Applegate paid tribute to her mother, Nancy Priddy, who survived breast cancer.
